Charter Review Committee Listening Session

Community Input - Get Involved

The City of Santa Clara encourages your participation in this process to provide input on whether the City Charter should be changed to adopt the six Council district plan and sequencing currently in place for electing City Councilmembers by district or to examine if there is community support for some other configuration for electing councilmembers by district. Santa Clara voters will continue to elect the mayor at-large.

We urge you to attend upcoming public sessions or listening sessions.

To gather as much input as possible, members of the Charter Review Committee will be hosting informal, drop-in Listening Sessions throughout the city. Please stop by to find out more and provide your input. Below is a list of currently scheduled Listening Sessions:

  • Saturday, Aug. 17, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Mission Branch Library, 1098 Lexington St., Santa Clara (Classroom). Co-hosted by Charter Review Committee member - Katherine Almazol and Steven Silva.
