Traffic Impact Fee Study

The Traffic Impact Fee is an existing one-time fee collected to finance city-wide traffic infrastructure improvements needed to serve development.  City staff is proposing increases to the fee and its applicability citywide.  The report prepared by Hexagon Transportation Consultants, Inc. provides the methodology and findings of the analysis which support the proposed fee.  A hard copy of the report is available for review at the City Clerk’s Office located at 1500 Warburton Avenue.  The City Council will discuss this item, hear public comments, and take an action on the fee at the July 17th 2018 Council Meeting.  Please note that the Multimodal Improvement Plan Traffic Fee will be heard separately by City Council at a later date.  Please contact Carol Shariat at 408-615-3024 should you have questions related to this fee.

Central Park Bicycle and Pedestrian Access Study

Aerial view of Central Park

This study evaluates and recommends improvements to off-site and on-site multi-modal access for both pedestrians and cyclists. The off-site improvements could include provision for bicycle lanes, sidewalk enhancements, high-visibility crosswalks, improved transit facilities, clear and simple eye-catching way-finding signage. On-site improvements and amenities within the park are recommended and may consist of additional landscaping, rest areas, water fountains, benches, and new or updated connections / pathways between the park facilities.
